辻󠄀本 和夫
映像作家
1985年、和歌山県生まれ。アパレル企業での勤務を経て渡米し、2014年に帰国後、DRAWING AND MANUALに参加。
以来、スポーツとファッションを主軸に、ドキュメンタリーやインタビュー作品の監督・撮影に携わっている。
映画『にしかん』『ハモニカ太陽』で撮影監督を務め、横浜DeNAベイスターズの映像作品では『FOR REAL -遠い、クライマックス。/2018』『FOR REAL-戻らない瞬間、残されるもの。/2019』『BBB(BAY BLUE BLUES)/2021』『勝ち切る覚悟~日本一までの79日~/2024』を監督。
時間をかけて被写体と向き合い、その内側にある物語を丁寧にすくい上げるスタイルを大切にしてきた。
気持ちを動かす映像表現を得意とし、選手の心を高ぶらせるモチベーション映像から、人間ドラマを描いた作品まで、幅広く制作している。
2020年からは、プロ野球選手・筒香嘉智の密着記録『Road to L.A.』のため渡米。メジャー、マイナー双方で4年間にわたって取材を続けた。
2024年に帰国し、現在は日本を拠点に活動している。
Kazuo Tsujimoto
Film director / Cinematographer based in Tokyo and Kamakura Japan
Born in 1985 in Wakayama, Japan, he began his career in the apparel industry before moving to the United States. After returning to Japan in 2014, he joined DRAWING AND MANUAL, where he has since focused on directing and cinematography within documentary and interview-driven storytelling, particularly in the realms of sports and fashion.
He served as Director of Photography on the feature documentaries Nishikan and Hamonika Taiyo. His long-term collaborations with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars include directing FOR REAL – Tooi, Climax / 2018, FOR REAL – Points of No Return / 2019, BBB (BAY BLUE BLUES) / 2021, and Kachikiru Kakugo – 79 Days to the Championship / 2024.
His practice centers on spending meaningful time with his subjects, allowing stories to surface through trust, patience, and presence.
Recognized for emotionally charged visual narratives, his work spans from intimate character studies to motivational pieces created for professional athletes within the team environment.
From 2020 to 2024, he was based in the United States documenting Road to L.A., an extensive chronicle of professional baseball player Yoshitomo Tsutsugo’s journey through Major and Minor League Baseball.
He is currently based in Japan and continues to develop nonfiction works rooted in human experience and lived reality.
